African journalists will have the opportunity to tell detailed, multimedia stories that will help to deepen and broaden business and technology reporting on the continent. The journalists will have the chance to apply for a grant from the African Story Challenge, which is being run by the Africa Media Initiative in collaboration with the International Centre for Journalists. The programme involves a total grant pool of one million dollars, which will benefit a total of 100 journalists from all over the continent. The journalists will engage with new ways to tell their stories, to ensure that they can reach the widest audience possible. This current round of grants will benefit business and technology journalists. Past rounds of grants have gone to agriculture and food security, as well as health.
